Swifty’s:Manhattan

Celebrating my Aunt't 98th birthday tonight. My mother's twin sister. Raised a glass of champagne in memory of Mom who died having her mouth swabbed in it after she lost the ability to swallow. Somehow pugs have something to do with the naming of this old stand by restaurant. Don't know what. Nice dinner and no music which was appreciated by all.

Now here's a sign you don't often see in a restroom. Despite disparaging critics, I enjoyed the Warhol exhibit.

Fuller Building:Manhattan

When you go to galleries in buildings like this you usually have to get a key to use the public restroom. Loving red as I do, wanted to share with you. Howard Greenberg specializes in photography and always has spectacular exhibitions.

There are few places where the art us as much fun as the food is delicious. This is one of them. Plus the profusion of Christmas greens made for a wonderful sense of being outdoors. Not to mention the smell. I heartily recommend the bay scallops. Hard to find and wonderfully sweet.

I would enter any room that had Sophia Loren's image attached to it. How much better that the sink and walls are red. Delicious food in a fun space which was small and crowded but not noisy. No music. Love that!

Of course the Cafe restroom would have warm green walls and a bright floral print. It also had a seasonal display of fresh flowers on the sink and gorgeous wreaths in the shop. The highlight for me, however, was the outdoor exhibition of Manolo Valdez sculptures. Magical.

Mobil Station:Old Greenwich,CT

Gotta love Fairfield County. I usually make my easy on/off stop in Greenwich, but will be coming here in the future. Just as fast and way more chic. Feel like I am at a NYC restaurant. Love the photo of the skyline with the Chrysler Building.

Simply the best Thai food I have has on the shoreline yet and I live Thai food. Makes going to the movies in Niantic much more appealing. Like the restroom art as well.

I find it annoying to have to lock the stall without having a handle on the latch. Not impossible, but annoying. Thankful I am only an occasional shopper here.

Really I don't see the point in putting the sign on the door as I doubt anyone will go back and wash.
