Not the most elegant way to store extra paper, nor was the seatless porcelain john much fun to perch on… The steak dinner, however, was a magnificent experience. A wooden platter with a huge bone in thickly sliced sirloin on a bed of arugula surrounded by strips of fried potato, white beans, chopped bok choy, and broccoli. The saltiness was cut by the piquant sauce served in a small dish and a lovely dry red wine. Yum.
