The Modern: Manhattan

The ultimate unisex bathroom sign as well as setting. The food in this Danny Meyer restaurant always holds up to the MoMA exhibitions that either precede or follow it.

A Green Pee- well only because of the color of the room which I happen to love. As my son is a marine biologist, life in his house is pretty green. Not only do I love visiting him, I also love visiting the overflow if art from my basement that now resides on his walls.

This establishment's nod to contemporary art! This with an old fashioned rusty crank paper towel dispenser. As for the menu, I was limited to fresh fruit- strawberries and bananas- and a mug of hot water for my own roobios tea bag. Probably says more about me than them.

Last look at island restroom art. A last cappuccino. This is the only place I regularly drink them. So good here. Also a last bathing suit purchase. Now off to the airport.

I never tire of looking at the art in this restaurant and there is plenty of material in the restroom photo collection. New lighter menu and smaller portions were imaginative and good.

There are few places where the art us as much fun as the food is delicious. This is one of them. Plus the profusion of Christmas greens made for a wonderful sense of being outdoors. Not to mention the smell. I heartily recommend the bay scallops. Hard to find and wonderfully sweet.

Simply the best Thai food I have has on the shoreline yet and I live Thai food. Makes going to the movies in Niantic much more appealing. Like the restroom art as well.
